Bentyl Uses
Bentyl is used to relieve cramps or spasms of the stomach, intestines, and bladder.
How is Bentyl Taken?
Follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, and do not take it for a longer time than your doctor ordered. To do so may increase the chance of side effects.
Bentyl Warnings/Precautions
Talk to your doctor if you are or plan on becoming pregnant before taking Bentyl. Check with your doctor before you stop using Bentyl . Your doctor may want you to reduce gradually the amount you are using before stopping completely. Stopping Bentyl may cause withdrawal side effects such as vomiting, sweating, and dizziness.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Possible Bentyl Side Effects
You may experience the following side effects while on Bentyl treatment: confusion or memory loss; constipation; difficult urination; drowsiness; dryness of mouth, nose, throat, or skin; and unusual excitement, nervousness, restlessness, or irritability.
Storage
Store at controlled room temperature between 15o- 30oC (59o - 86oF). Keep out of the reach of children.
Bentyl Overdose
If you suspect an Bentyl overdose, seek emergency medical attention. The symptoms of a Bentyl overdose may include: nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dilated pupils, hot dry skin, dizziness, dryness of the mouth, difficulty in swallowing.
Bentyl Information
Bentyl may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Make sure you know how you react to Bentyl before you drive, use machines, or do anything else that could be dangerous if you are dizzy or are not alert and clearheaded.
